iValue

I want to make you aware of a series that we have coming up on May 12th and May 19th for Extreme, called ‘iValue’. Our student team wanted to let you know about this topic since it is somewhat sensitive in nature. As a parent, I know there are all sorts of issues that you may encounter with your middle school student(s). This particular issue has appeared on the scene fairly recently. We think it’s important enough to address it.

“Sexting” .is the latest craze. In its various forms, sexting is the transmission of suggestive material via pic/text messages. Research has found that many involved with Sexting don’t see anything morally wrong with it. We are going to spend 2 weeks talking about two sides of this. First the danger and possible long term affects associated with this activity at any level. We also are going to talk about how to value ourselves and value others just as God values each and every one of us. John 3;16 says that God loved/valued us enough to send His son to die for us.

We, as a student team, are here to help you as the parent in any way we can. If you have any additional information or questions concerning this topic, please feel free to contact me. Here is a resource that can help inform you more about this serious topic, http://www.crosswalk.com/parenting/11601846/page1/

I would love to answer any questions you may have. Please visit our website for more info at www.gracewired.net or if you’d ever like to check in with me specifically about your student, please feel free to call me as well. 815.467.2100 or aaronkoehler@gracewired.net
